A values assessment can help a company or department of an organization determine if its values are aligned across all staff levels, associates, work teams, departments, locations, and regions. Alignment is necessary since the personal needs of employees / associates are important factors in the organization’s success.
Based on extensive research, the Richard Barrett and Associates Company (The Values Centre) has determined that values are distributed over seven levels of personal and organizational consciousness. These seven levels of consciousness are an extension of Mazlow’s Hierarchy of Needs and cover the full range of human needs, Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual. The values assessment looks at individual staff personal values and compares these to the current organizational values and the desired organizational values. Elimination of gaps in values between the personal values of staff and the current organizational values can improve employee satisfaction while the elimination of gaps between the current organizational values and the desired organizational values can both improve staff satisfaction and eliminate distractions, unnecessary work, and friction in the organization. The Corporate Culture Assessment can be used in small, medium, and large organizations. The results are plotted against the framework of the Seven Levels of Consciousness. A keen awareness of who you are and what you stand for provides an advantage that separates you from the business down the street. It's long been known that people do business with people like themselves. The clearer you are in communicating your values the more successful you will be in attracting perfect customers, stakeholders and team members for your business. The Individual Assessment instrument is frequently used by coaches to measure the degree of alignment between an executive's Personal and Desired Organizational Cultural Values, and the executive's perception of the Current Organizational Values. The results are plotted against the framework of the Seven Levels of Personal and Organizational Consciousness. Visit the CTT website at www.valuescentre.com
